Powering the energy transition for industry and a greener future

By developing, implementing and reporting strong ESG credentials, Synertec integrates its commitment to the ESG framework and practices into its core business strategy.

With the adoption of the World Economic Forum (‘WEF’) ESG framework, Synertec have implemented a measurement plan for each sustainability area across its business, which operates across the water, energy, transport, resources, life sciences and manufacturing sectors. The Company reports on the key ESG factors including governance, anticorruption and bribery practices, ethical behaviour, human rights, carbon emissions, water consumption, ecological sensitivity, diversity, inclusion, pay equality and tax payments.

The image opposite highlights all the 21 areas of the WEF ESG framework, which are reported by Synertec at regular intervals to show its ESG progress. Governance remains a cornerstone of Synertec’s operations, with a Board composed of members bringing a diverse array of skills and expertise, ensuring effective oversight and strategic direction. The company focuses on enhancing gender and ethnic diversity, viewing it as critical to its long-term success.

Synertec fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace, with significant workforce growth and targeted recruitment practices reflecting its commitment to bridging diversity gaps and supporting an inclusive culture. The company also focuses its investment in social enterprises, demonstrating its robust commitment to social responsibility.

Synertec draws upon its technological expertise to contribute to a greener, more sustainable world aligning with SFRS1 and SFRS2, to measure its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and explore ways to minimise its environmental footprint through innovative practices and strategic partnerships.

We see this as a logical progression for our organisation, building upon the strong foundations we developed to support the global energy transition, reduce carbon footprint and respond to tightening environmental regulations while providing sustainable employment opportunities and operating in a transparent and accountable manner for all Synertec’s stakeholders.
